DCSO Telecommunicator Recognized in State House Ceremony

DUKES COUNTY - Sheriff Robert Ogden is pleased to recognize and congratulate Dukes County Sheriff's Office's Captain Nicole Gazaille-Graves, who has been selected after review of many excellent candidates by the Massachusetts Communications Supervisors Association and the Massachusetts State E-911 Department as Supervisor of the Year!

This state-wide recognition is awarded annually to a nominated, committee-selected Telecommunications Supervisor on National Public Safety Telecommunications Week. Captain Gazaille-Graves was recognized on April 12, 2023 at the 911 Goes to Boston Event at the State House in Boston. With over 24 years of experience with the Dukes County Regional Emergency Communication Center, the DCSO team knows first-hand that Captain Gazaille-Graves' incredible work ethic, positivity, and team spirit is just a small part of what makes her so deserving of this honor.

National Public Safety Telecommunications Week (NPSTW), observed every second week in April, is a time when we as a country recognize and celebrate the work of Telecommunicators, who help to save millions of lives across the country every day, as the lifeline between community members and emergency responders. Throughout this week, we honor and thank those rarely seen and always heard Telecommunicators, who have continued to serve in this demanding profession.

We would like to thank the Massachusetts Communications Supervisors Association and State 911 Department for their recognition of Captain Gazaille-Graves, and the many Telecommunicators in our agency and across the state who work hard to keep our communities safe every day.
